A passionate team of engineers and software developers
Energy Mutual began life in 2013, working closely with owners and managers of distributed energy assets in the highlands of Scotland.
Spending time manually monitoring the performance of small energy systems, we realised that ensuring these machines are operating effectively is a difficult and laborious task, that owners could scarcely afford the time to make sure they are running properly.
In 2021, our platform was born. We developed a solution that brings all assets, all data and all stakeholders all into one place.
Our web and mobile app monitors assets in real-time, flags issues automatically and allows owners and managers to spend less time on wrangling spreadsheets and more time running their business.
Through digital innovation, we make energy systems perform better. We make them work for longer. We make generation and consumption work together.
Through our combined knowledge of the distributed energy industry and software development expertise, we are uniquely positioned to support a wide variety of energy technology projects.
Today, utility-scale energy companies have a huge amount of telemetry data available to them, and teams of people poised to analyse it.
The same cannot be said for the distributed energy industry. Farmers with a handful of wind turbines, or a country estate with a 1MW hydro scheme usually do not have the resources to ensure that their assets are performing to their full potential.
