Konductor launches as standalone energy software company

6 January 2026 – Konductor, the award-winning distributed energy management platform developed by Scottish energy consultancy Energy Mutual, today launches as an independent software company.

The platform was born out of Energy Mutual’s 10 years of hands-on experience supporting owners and operators of distributed energy assets. Working in the field, the team identified a critical gap: energy managers needed a unified software platform to bring all their assets together and maximise performance.

Development began in 2021, and the platform quickly proved its value—a one-stop-shop for distributed energy operations that brings all energy assets onto one clear web and mobile dashboard, monitors performance in real-time, and alerts operators when issues arise. It also supports energy businesses through advanced reporting, task management and issue diagnosis.

Now, with proven success and growing demand, Konductor is stepping out on its own. The name reflects the platform’s core purpose: conducting the flow of energy data and orchestrating solutions that power customer success.

The spin-out follows a successful period for the platform, including winning Best Innovation: Software & Services at the 2024 Scottish Green Energy Awards and recognition as the only UK winner in the Shell LiveWIRE Global Innovation Awards.

Energy Mutual continues as a separate entity, focusing on energy consultancy services.
